The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on March 22 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in building a national strategy on intellectual property for Vietnam.

With the MoU, an official cooperation mechanism between MOST and WIPO is created to develop the strategy to solve the country’s specific demands and priorities in the long, middle and short terms.
With support of the world’s leading experts on intellectual property, Vietnamese relevant agencies will formulate a national strategy on intellectual property, contributing significantly to the nation’s socio-economic development, stressed MOST Deputy Minister Tran Viet Thanh.
Under the MoU, WIPO and Vietnamese experts will work together to discuss the real situation of intellectual property, develop a strategic orientation as well as completing a draft strategy to submit to the Vietnamese Government./.
