Mr. Shin Jeong-seok (Robin)

Mr.  Shin Jeong-Seok (or briefly called Mr. ROBIN) is a Chief of the liaison office of KENFOX in Seoul, Korea. That being said Mr. Robin acts as the main point of contact and representative for KENFOX in Seoul, Korea. He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders in Korea to promote the firm’s services and business interests, facilitating communication between the Seoul office and the Vietnam-based headquarters to ensure smooth operations and coordination.

As the Chief of the liaison office of KENFOX in Seoul, Korea, Mr. ROBIN plays a pivotal role in overseeing 03 main business areas: Intellectual Property (IP), Investment/Business and Regulatory services.

 

Regarding Intellectual Property, Mr. ROBIN ‘s responsibilities include providing guidance to Korean clients on how to protect their IP rights in Vietnam. He conducts thorough IP searches and assessments to ensure that Korean clients’ trademarks, industrial designs, copyrights, and patents are available and registrable in Vietnam. Mr. ROBIN also drafts and files trademark, industrial designs, copyright, and patent applications on behalf of Korean clients, and provides guidance on enforcing their IP rights in Vietnam. Additionally, he develops strategies for protecting Korean clients’ confidential information and trade secrets in Vietnam.

 

In the area of regulatory services, Mr. Robin provides valuable guidance to Korean clients on the regulatory requirements for their products in Vietnam. This includes advising on the regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and medical devices. He also prepares and files applications for product registration, import/export permits, and other regulatory approvals on behalf of clients in Vietnam. Additionally, Mr. Robin provides guidance on compliance with labeling and advertising requirements for regulated products in Vietnam. Moreover, he assists clients in responding to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions in Vietnam, and keeps clients informed about changes in the regulatory landscape in Vietnam that may impact their operations or investments in the country.

 

In terms of Investment/Business, Mr. ROBIN is also responsible for providing valuable advice on business and investment procedures for Korean clients who are interested in setting up their commercial presence in Vietnam. This includes offering guidance on the legal and regulatory requirements for establishing and operating a business in Vietnam, as well as helping clients navigate the bureaucratic processes involved in setting up a company.

 

He advises clients on the various forms of legal entities available, such as joint ventures and wholly foreign-owned enterprises, and provides guidance on the procedures involved in obtaining the necessary permits and licenses. Additionally, Mr. Robin helps clients navigate the complex tax and labor regulations that apply to foreign investors in Vietnam, and assists them in developing appropriate strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
