Ms. Duong Thi Duyen

Duong Thi Duyen is a senior associate with KENFOX and heads the trademark team of the firm.

Duyen specializes in due diligence for high-value commercial transactions, and advising on commercial, energy (oil and gas and renewable energy), labor, corporate, environmental, and competition law. Prior to joining the firm, she was a senior associate at an international law firm in Vietnam.

Duyen has extensive experience structuring and negotiating contracts for complex technology projects, IT agreements, intellectual property and technology licensing, e-commerce and consumer law issues. She has particular expertise in the electric vehicle sector, where she has been assisting a client on its contracts with key partners in relation to electric vehicle charge point infrastructure, as well as on consumer law issues. As an expert in data protection laws, she advises numerous clients on data protection compliance in light of the General Data Protection Regulation. She also has expertise in brand protection, and she and her team manage intellectual property portfolios on behalf of a wide range of clients.

  • Represented a manufacturer in negotiations with a labor union on strike. Successfully negotiated the terms of a collective bargaining agreement, thus expediting the conclusion of the strike.
  • Negotiated on behalf of a foreign company operating in the defence technology sector, a contract for the manufacture and supply of components and for the licence of technology.
  • Drafted template contracts for the supply of IT and telecoms services, including provision of cloud (SaaS and IaaS) and managed services, connectivity and data services.
