Against the backdrop of a significant surge in investment and commercial activities by Chinese enterprises in Vietnam, the protection of Intellectual Property (IP) rights in cyberspace has emerged as a top priority. Today, March 18, 2026, a high-level strategic meeting was convened between KENFOX IP & Law Office and the prestigious law firm China NTD. This event marks a pivotal milestone in their strategic partnership aimed at safeguarding international brands within the Vietnamese market.

Protecting Brand Integrity on High-Traffic E-commerce Platforms

The discussions focused on “hot-button” issues critical to Chinese enterprises expanding globally, specifically within the Vietnamese jurisdiction. The consultation centered on four primary pillars of IP enforcement:

  • Enforcement on E-commerce Platforms: Given the exponential growth of Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok, the filing of Online Complaints and the subsequent removal of infringing storefronts (takedowns) remain the highest priority. KENFOX provided comprehensive insights into optimized procedures, cost structures, and timelines for addressing infringements on these cross-border platforms.
  • Border Control via Customs Recordal: To intercept counterfeit goods at ports of entry, the experts discussed Customs IP Recordal procedures in Vietnam—an effective “front-line” defensive mechanism for exporting enterprises.
  • Civil Litigation and Damages: Both parties engaged in an in-depth exchange regarding the rules for determining damages and the procedural roadmap for civil actions. The objective is to ensure that rights holders receive adequate compensation from infringing parties.
